A new game is set to launch on the upcoming Nintendo Switch this year. The game is called the "Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas," a game from Cornfox, which was officially released back in 2013.
The "Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas" was originally created for the iOS in 2013. Published by the FDG Entertainment, the game was ported to the Windows PC in 2015 and was eventually released to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Android last year.
Last year, the GameSpot reported that the "Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas" was teased that the game will launch on a Nintendo Console. Since the game was already ported all the mainstream video game device, it was speculated that it will attend the list of Nintendo NX's game library.
Today, the "Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas" is confirmed to release a version for the Nintendo Switch, the known Project NX last year. FDG Entertainment confirmed the said announcement via social media.
According to Cinema Blend, the Oceanhorn has no exact release date yet, even an information whether the game will launch together with the console this March has yet to confirm. It has been said that several fans are very excited and they wouldn't mind if any of the Zelda and Oceanhorn will launch first since both have similarities.
The "Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas" is very similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Game presentation and looks the same and even some the in-game mechanics. However, the Oceanhorn has a more dazzling graphics compared to the Wind Waker.
Oceanhorn follows the story a boy who is in search of an ancient artifact that possess the power of gods. It also follows the story about the boy's lost father, who was never seen since the night he disappeared.
The game is more like a combination of the traditional platformer game and puzzle solving. Oceanhorn is presented via 3D top perspective view, utilizing high poly video game assets.
"Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas" took its 1 million mark last year following the announcement of the planned release for the Nintendo console. Fans now need to wait for the official announcement of the game's launch date.
