It was in 2013 when the drama romance film "Warm Bodies" was seen on the big screen. Since it has been almost 4 years, recent reports claim that a sequel might still happen, but it would depend on the performance of the book where it will be adapted from.

Reports say that the sequel may still have a chance, considering that the upcoming book of Isaac Marion, "The Burning World," would yield positive results, Cinema Blend reported. It can be recalled that Marion wrote the book "Warm Bodies" in which the film was adapted from.

The same publication also cited the comment of Marion when asked about the possibility that his upcoming book will have a movie adaptation in the form of a sequel. The author said that "The Burning World" could become a film, or it might not at all. He also said that they were in discussions before but still no concrete decision in making the sequel. He added that the team behind the possible sequel might be trying to figure out how to make the sequel for "Warm Bodies."

Marion did emphasize though that if his upcoming book would perform greatly in terms of sales, then it might serve as a jumpstart to let the producers know that people still wants to see a second part of "Warm Bodies."

On the other note, reports say that "Warm Bodies" was a massive hit in the box office and its numbers tells it all, cites Box Office Mojo. According to the publication, the movie generated a whopping $66,380,662 million in domestic earnings alone. In regards to its worldwide profit, the listing said that the film earned $116,980,662 million globally, surpassing "Zombieland" which only earned a total of $102,391,540 worldwide.

To sum it up, sources say that fans of the movie are hoping that a sequel of the 2013 post-apocalyptic film "Warm Bodies" would finally be on the table. Although the answer of Marion did not confirm anything as to whether the sequel will happen, reports say that it still gave the fans something to hold to, given that the possible success of "The Burning World" might trigger a sequel.
