Preview

Both the Spurs and Pelicans enter the match with their best players unavailable as Anthony Davis is listed as probable after re-injuring his thigh while Kawhi Leonard remains questionable with a sore left hand and Tony Parker out with an injured foot.

San Antonio is on a five-game winning streak and has held their second place position in the West firmly. The team is two-and-a-half games behind West leaders Golden State Warriors and four games ahead of third-running team Houston Rockets.

The Spurs are coming off a tough 108-106 win over the short-handed Toronto Raptors on the road at the Air Canada Centre last Tuesday, as per SB Nation.

LaMarcus Aldridge led head coach Gregg Popovich's side with 21 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in the absence of Leonard. David Lee and rookie Dejounte Murray, who filled-in for Leonard and Parker in the starting lineup, fired 11 points each and have combined for eight boards and four assists.

Patty Mills and Davis Bertans netted 18 and 12 points off the bench with the latter only playing 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans are reeling right now with four losses in their last six outings. The team is 11th in the West at the moment, two-and-a-half games behind eighth-seeded team Denver Nuggets.

New Orleans was thrashed by the Oklahoma City Thunder, 114-105, on their home floor of Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night for their second loss in their last three games, ESPN reported.

Davis played 16 minutes before leaving the game late in the second quarter after suffering another thigh injury.

Starters Jrue Holiday and Solomon Hill had 14 points apiece with Holiday dishing out eight assists while Hill grabbed eight boards. Terrence Jones added 12 points and four rebounds also as a starter.

E'Twaun Moore came off the bench to top-score for the Pels with 18 points, eight boards, and two assists.
