The Tales series of the Bandai Namco has been praised by several video game critics worldwide. With the release of the new "Tales of Berseria," Bandai Namco is proud to present a game with the best story line that the series has.
The "Tales of Berseria" is about the character named Velvet and her adventures. Velvet is a girl suffering from her tragic memories and her heart is full of vengeance as she is searching for the man responsible for her brother's death.
The WCCF Tech confirmed much of her story revolves on her revenge on the man who killed his brother. Equipped with the Daemonlight, Velvet will be travelling with her special powers as she ventures into the wilds of the Holy Midgard Empire.
The Daemonlight is a curse that Velvet endures during her past, transforming her into a ferocious beast and gives her a special power to kill everything in front of her. The Daemonblight is a disease that spread all over the empire, where the infected ones lose their humanity and sense of rationality as they turn themselves into monsters.
Kotaku mentioned in their report that Velvet is the first solo protagonist, in fact, she is the only solo character among other Tales series. She was imprisoned for 3 years and successfully escaped with the hopes to find her brother-in-law who killed his brother.
Other than the story, the "Tales of Berseria" is a game with style. With several costumes that can be found during the course of the game, players may choose of what to wear depending on their style. Treasure chests can be purchased from several NPC's suing the Tales Coins as per the PlayStation Lifestyle confirmed.
Though it is confirmed that by changing the specific armors will not alter the actual appearance of the character, they can still wear headgear such as hats, corsages and an eyeglass. This means the costumes are the only ones that can change the character's actual appearance.
Aside from collecting costumes, there are several things that the game could offer. Cooking using the recipes found via loots or by the NPC's plays a big role in the game, since it can boost various stats of the character. Cooking and preparing the right foods before crawling inside the dungeon is a great strategy before engaging a battle against bosses.
"Tales of Berseria" is now available exclusively on the PlayStation 3 and PS4, the game will be released on Windows PC this coming January 27th.
