A potential NBA trade occurs this week, involving Ricky Rubio and Rajon Rondo as both teams are known to send their respective point guards off the block. The Timberwovles was reported that they were shopping Ricky Rubio since last week and continues to search for a good deal as per the Forbes said in their report.

A report from the Win On a Daily News showed that the Minnesota Timberwolves are currently working out Kris Dunn as their legitimate starting point guard. It has been said that the Timberwolves has a lot of interest of in trading Rubio since Dunn seemed to be ready to take the starting job.

Rumors spreading that the Bulls are interested to acquire Ricky Rubio, thinking that Rubio would basically fit into their offensive rotation. Rubio is known for his playmaking skills in a half court play situation that can also run the floor during fast breaks.

On the other hand, the Bulls are also considering to trade Rajon Rondo since he seemed to be out of the rotation and is currently spending more minutes at the bench instead of the floor. Rondo had some issues significantly on his defensive play and is known to become a consistent liability on the perimeter.

If Rondo would be traded to the Timberwolves, though he is being criticized due to his limited scoring skill, he would still provide great numbers for the team. The Timberwolves is playing at a fast-pace level, where Rondo can definitely fit due to his run-and-gun offensive play style.

Meanwhile, Ricky Rubio is playing better after entering the 2017. Though his 3-point shooting hasn't improved, Rubio still able to contribute with impressive numbers is his last couple games.

Rubio had a total of 70 assists in a 5-game stretch last week, where he averaged 13.2 points and an amazing 14 assists per contest. Even with Rubio's great performance this year, the Timberwolves are still considering to send him out while prepping for their future star point guard Kris Dunn.
