BBC One's "Poldark" Season 3 will soon return to television. Fans are eager to have some of their burning questions answered in the upcoming installment of the time-traveling drama, which involves the plight of Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner). Spoilers for the upcoming season, however, hinted that while Ross bore a child through his affair with Elizabeth (Heida Reed), his true love is really his suffering wife.
Spoilers for 'Poldark' Season 3: Ross and Demelza's marriage
"Poldark" Season 3 is kicking off from where the show left off last year. Fans would recall that Ross had jeopardized his marriage with Demelza by having an affair with Elizabeth, George Warleggan's (Jack Farthing) wife. The affair comes as an ironic twist of fate, since Ross earlier promised not to fall prey into the throngs of infidelity, The Week reported.
Spoilers for "Poldark" Season 3 revealed that Demelza would be furious at Ross for his indiscretions, and would threaten to leave him because of it. However, Ross would commit himself anew to Demelza and admit that she is his only love. But if the books are anything to go by, it would seem that Ross is in for turbulent times, as Demelza might seek revenge on her husband through the help of fellow wronged spouse, Warleggan, according to GoshTV.
Demelza to have affair
Fans would recall that Ross and Warleggan are at loggerheads with one another. With Elizabeth's involvement and subsequent pregnancy, Warleggan is sure to engage Poldark with or without Demelza's help.
As per the books, Demelza will also get caught up in a whirlwind affair with a newcomer, Hugh Armitage (played by Josh Winehouse) in "Poldark" Season 3, according to Radio Times. Armitage is described as a good-looking romantic with whom Demelza initially gets involved with to get back at Ross, but eventually gets ensnared with as Armitage proves to be every bit the guy she wanted Ross to be.
