Rain appeared on the JTBC variety show "Ask Us Anything" to promote his latest track "The Best Present." Aside from his new music, the pop star also talked about his girlfriend Kim Tae-hee.
He impressed the cast members with his performance of "The Best Present," a ballad that he recorded with the help of PSY. According to Pop Crush, the international icon served as the track's producer. During his guesting, he revealed that PSY called him during wee hours to inform him that he made a track that matches well with him.
The cast members could not help but ask Rain with questions about Kim Tae-hee when he asked them to guess what he does first thing after performing on broadcasts. Kim Heechul imagined that the first thing Rain does is call his girlfriend while saying things like, "Did I do well? Honey?" The 34-year-old singer said he has never done that before.
When asked if he has never had a secret code with Kim Tae-hee on public broadcast, Rain said, "Of course I've done it [a secret code]. I've done it all." The cast members also challenged rain to a wrestling match. Lee Soo Geun said Rain has to promise that Kim Tae-hee will guest on the show if he lost. But Rain said he does not have any power and they should give him a promise that he can actually keep.
It's been three years since Kim Tae-hee's agency confirmed that she is dating Rain. In spite of their busy schedules, they were spotted a couple of times hanging out in public. The celebrity couple was spotted on a romantic vacation on Jeju Island last May with their loved ones.
As the cast members playfully bombarded Rain about Kim Tae-hee, he reminded them not to forget his new song. It marks his return to the K-pop scene three years after releasing his studio album "Rain Effect." Kim Tae-hee heavily inspired him to write his new song, AllKPop has learned.
