Audi recently showcased their much-awaited concept car called Q8 during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS 2017) on Jan. 10, Detroit, Michigan. The company will officially make it available for public consumption in 2018.
In an article published by Design Boom, Audi's concept car is more than just a high-tech automobile because of its efficiency and design. It is literally a hybrid car because not only is it safe for the environment, but it also works both as a coupe and an SUV. Audi's Q8 works with a 330 kW of system output when one plugs it in.
This car is powered by a 700 Nm of torque, which is pretty ambitious for a hybrid and a concept car. It is a four-seater and its interior is spacious enough for passengers along with their luggage. By default, one would notice that it does look like a coupe because of its structure, from its slope to its roofline.
Moreover, Slash Gear described it as an SUV but not quite an SUV. Its size and its built make it look like one and it is quite a conundrum that is also technically not considered an SUV. This is one of the reasons why it is considered a luxury car.
The new Audi Q8 brags about its interior having a control concept with large touchscreens right in its cockpit. It also has a virtual cockpit that makes it even more current to modern day drivers. The design and advancement in technology of this car don't end there because it also has a contact-analogue head-up display. This one works as an intelligent augmented reality tech, which combines both the real and virtual worlds.
Lots of people are excited about its release, but unfortunately, they have to wait until next year. The exact month and date have not been announced by the company just yet.
