Andrew Bogut understands completely his situation in the Mavericks. He knows that he will play in different team before the trade deadline in February.

Bogut knows his value as a very good center in the league. Therefore he stays calm with the situation. In an interview with the Sky Sports Australia as quoted by SLAM Online he said that he is grateful with the condition he is in.

“Thankfully I’m a free agent here,” he said. “So I only have a couple of months more here and then will most likely move on,”

He also said that he never see himself around Dallas with everything that has been going on. Therefore he said that another six months ahead will be an interesting ones.

The 7’0” center is benched becase in Dallas Mavericks has problem to play to play him alongside Dirk Nowitzki as reported by . Up to now, head coach Rick Carlisle is still not able to formula the best game play to play his two big men ont the floor together.

Known with his excellent defensive trait, Bogut delivers a good defensive skill in Mavericks. After Golden State Warriors traded the 12-year-veteran to Dallas Maverricks last summer, he continued to deliver a strong defensive presence in Dallas.

Based on the statistics, when Bogut has his presence on the floor, the Mavericks’ opponents are only able to made 95.4 points per 100 possessions. That is considered as one to the best record in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency. However, when he is on the sideline, the Mavericks became the worst in defensive efficiency ratings by allowing the opponents to made 111.3 points per 100 possession.

This will be dilemma for Dallas Mavericks whether to trade Bogut or not. It is because they now have 11-25 records ranked two from the bottom in the Western Conference. They need to keep their defense with Bogut, but they also need to play their icon Nowitzki.
