Rains confirms collab project with ‘Gangnam Style’ singer during ‘The Squall’ tour in Singapore

King of K-pop, Rain, was in Singapore last week for the last leg of his Asia tour "The Squall." During his pre-concert press conference, the K-Pop star confirmed his collaboration project with PSY.

"The Squall World Tour" is Rain's first full concert tour after returning from his mandatory military enlistment. Kicking off in China, the tour already took him to Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia and is reported to cross the Pacific to perform in Australia and America, Yonhap News revealed.

Wrapping the last leg of his Asia tour at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, the 34-year old singer-songwriter then revealed that an R&B ballad produced by the "Gangnam Style" singer will be included in his upcoming album which will be released in two weeks' time. For fans who wanted to hear a different rendition of the songs, the album will also be available in Mandarin, as reported by Soompi.

Rain also shared his upcoming plans for 2017, including a Chinese drama together with f(x)'s Victoria. When asked about his acting experience with Victoria, the K-pop star smilingly revealed that she was a lively and charming girl.

He then added that a new movie is also in the works. Meanwhile, his new Chinese drama series "Diamond Lover" will premiere on Monday, Jan. 9th on Viki.

"Diamond Lover" portrays the story of CEO Xiao Liang (Rain) who owns the biggest diamond company in the world. His reserved, strict, and serious personality changes upon meeting Mi Dou (Tiffany Tang), who will teach him what it means to live and be happy.

The Chinese television series stars Rain and Tang as the main actors, along with Chinese actors Luo Jin and Dilraba Dilmurat. The drama is a huge commercial success in China, earning high ratings throughout its run, and surpasses 7 billion views online.
