Obama presented the medal to 19 living and two posthumous pioneers in science, sports, public service, human rights, politics and the arts.

Bruce Springsteen voiced out his sentiments about president-elect Donald Trump during a podcast interview with Marc Maron's WTF, Jan. 2. The singer said he is experiencing a different kind of fear now that Trump is about to run the office.

According to Billboard, Springsteen was asked if he is going to release an album about Donald Trump winning the presidency. He said he doesn't know, as it is not something that he would likely to plan on working. He also said that the way he creates an album doesn't work like it is planned because he writes from within and out.

The Hall of Fame awardee also added that he writes songs depending on the mood that he is currently in. If he is inspired to write at a given moment, then a song could probably happen.

After opening up about the process of his songwriting, he then talked about his strong feelings of disgust towards Donald Trump. The Daily Mail wrote about how he felt repulsive before but never having this kind of fear that he feels now since Trump won the office. He believes that the newly elected president is incompetent to be in a position to lead a great country like America.

The 67-year-old singer compared the situation to letting a genie come out of a bottle only with bigotry, hatred, and racism with him and it would be hard for him to go back inside if he even decides to go back at all. Springsteen doesn't like the way Trump talks and saying it is completely un-American and disrespectful for a lot of people living in the U.S. For people to tolerate the new president doing that is among his huge fears, as he wonders whatever happens to the good values that this country used to have with its people.
