TVXQ's Yunho and Changmin are returning to the K-pop scene this year after they complete their two-year mandatory military service. SM Entertainment previously announced that they have big plans to restore their golden lineup with TVXQ and Super Junior, and Yunho gave a teaser on what's to come for the TVXQ comeback 2017.

TVXQ has been on hiatus for quite some time now since Changmin and Yunho are currently serving in the military. When it was confirmed that the two would be discharged on different dates this year, Cassiopeia from all over the world have begun the countdown to the TVXQ comeback 2017.

Yunho performed at the Ground Forces Festival on Oct. 1 where he sang "Western Sky" and TVXQ's "Dream." According to Koreaboo, the singer told fans in attendance to wait for his comeback with Changmin.

Yunho is currently serving in the military band and has since been awarded the status of a special class soldier, Soompi reported. He is set to be discharged in April.

Meanwhile, Changmin is going to be discharged on August 18. It is presumed that TVXQ's comeback activities will go into full swing by then. Changmin enlisted as a conscripted policeman together with Super Junior's Siwon.

The TVXQ comeback 2017 is part of SM Entertainment's planned "golden lineup" for 2017 in which the agency will also stage the comebacks of Super Junior and S.E.S. The lineup will also include SM Entertainment's younger groups such as NCT and EXO.

Prior to Yunho's and Changmin's respective enlistments, TVXQ released its eighth Korean studio album titled "Rise as God. Although promotion for the album wasn't as vast, it nevertheless received positive reviews from music critics and fans. The album contains 10 tracks, including the lead singles "Rise as One" and "Champagne." It was the duo's last activity before they entered the military.
