The decrease in Rajon Rondo’s performance has made Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg to bench him in the last three games. Unhappy with the condition, Rondo talked to Bulls’ GM about his future in the Bulls. He has also prepared himself for a trade.

Coach Hoiberg made a very bold decision Saturday night to bench Rondo for the entire game against Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Tribune reported. The Bucks won 116-96 and gave Chicago Bulls their second straight defeat.

The Bulls played Michael Carter-Williams as main point guard, backed by Isaiah Canaan off-the-bench. But both of them did not play very well. Carter-Williams only posted 4 points and 4 assists, while Canaan was scoreless an didn’t make any contribution in his 3 minutes playing time at the United Center.

Following coach Hoiberg decision to bench him in the entire game, Rondo was asked to talk to Chicago Bulls general manager Gar Forman about his future. According to Chicago Sun Times, Rondo said that he and coach Hoiberg had talked about the decision to bench him, but he wanted to have a meeting with the GM as well. After the game, Rondo was asked about the possibility of him moving elsewhere and he confirmed the question.

Chicago Bulls had two terrible games after a 101-111 loss in the Friday’s game against Indiana Pacers on Dec.30. Rondo played 11 minutes without making any score and only one assist. Coach Hoiberg decided to bench him in the entire second half to play Carter-Williams who posted 12 points and 1 assists.

Following his good performance, coach Hoiberg decided to make Carter-Williams as starter in the next day’s game against the Bucks.

“I thought Michael has given us really good energy since he has been back,’’ coach Hoiberg said after the game against Milwaukee Bucks. “He’s done a good job of pushing the pace. He gets up defensively. It’s the decision we decided to go with and hopefully it will pay off.’’
