Label agency Mystic Entertainment has finally released its official statement regarding the plagiarism complaints against their talent Uhm Jung Hwa.

According to the talent management agency as quoted by Soompi: “The mentioned photo use a starlight effect called ‘Projector Starlight’ which has already been used in photos, films, and music videos by diverse medias. Also, that photo is only one of the nine concepts for Uhm Jung Hwa’s new album ‘The Cloud Dream of the Nine’ and it is the photo for one of her double title tracks ‘Dreamer.’ In order to portray a dreamy and mysterious feeling, glittering clothes and the projector starlight technique was used”.

On December 19, the teaser shots of Kim’s upcoming comeback album titled “The Cloud Dream of the Nine”, which is set to be distributed to the music bars on December 27, was released by Mystic Entertainment on its official SNS account. In the released photos, the Hallyu star showed off her timeless beauty and sexy body as she wears a sparkling outfit on.

However, some critics have found that the shoot’s concept is somehow similar with the cover of “Keep it Together” album by the American folk-pop duo Lily & Madeleine. Due to this, some netizens accused her of plagiarism.

Meanwhile, Uhm was recently reported to perform in the upcoming "2016 KBS Gayo Festival", which will be held on December 29, alongside hip hop boy group Monsta X, All KPop reports. The said event will be hosted by "Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds" star Park Bo Gum and AOA's Seolhyun.

The 47-year-old star started her career in the industry after being one of the chorus members of South Korean TV and radio networks MBC in 1987.

In 1991, Uhm entered the world of acting after being casted in the “Marriage Story” and released her debut album “Sorrowful Secret” two years later. She rose to fame through the films the films ”Marriage Is a Crazy Thing”, ”Singles”,  ”Dancing Queen ”and ”Haeundae”.
