Los Angeles Lakers forward Larry Nance suffered a knee injury which will bring him to be sidelined for indefinite time. The team has determined to re-examine his condition this Christmas to see his progress.

He was reported to have a bruised knee at the second half of Tuesday's loss in Charlotte after a scrimmage according to ESPN. After an MRI exam, Lakers announced that he had a bone bruise in his left knee and wil be sidelined for indefinite time.

Furthermore the team physician Dr. David McAllister of UCLA Health wil examine his condition thoroughly on Sunday, Dec. 25. Before the team doctors determine their diagnosis, his condition remains inconclusive. However they expected the swelling to die down soon.

According to Lakers Nation, the 6’9” player was injured when he was diving to chase after a loose ball. After Nance got up, he was unable to sustain his weight on the left knee. He was carried to the locker room and missed the remaining of the game.

Nance is power forward who can provide strong backup for Julius Randle off-the bench. He is also a good rebounder and able to give a temporary solution for Lakers defensive inadequacy. He is a hard worker and have a strong determination.

This season he averages 7.1 points and 5.1 rebounds and a reliable rim defender. Following his injury, the indefinite absence will make veteran forward Luol Deng to take more responsibility for the defense.

The 23-year old player was selected by Los Angeles Lakers as the 27th overall pick in 2015 NBA Draft. Soon after, he provided a strong presence in the Lakers back court with his agility. Similar to his father, Larry Nance, Sr, who won the first slam dunk contest in 1984, Nance inherieted a similar slam dunk style from his father.
