The author of one of the most beloved children's stories of all time, J.K Rowling recently clued fans in about who Grindelwald is. Even Potterheads don't know that much about Gellert Grindelwald save for the little back stories provided in one of the seven Harry Potter books. In the Fantastic Beasts franchise, the pre-Voldemort great wizard is actually virtually still a mysterious character in the Harry Potter universe.

That's why these new clues about him are great treats for the Potterheads and those non-HP fans that went to see Fantastic Beasts. So if one hasn't gone to see the movie yet, be warned. Spoilers ahead!

The movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them introduced the flesh and bones of a legend named Gellert Grendelward. And he was played by none other than the highest paid actor in Hollywood right now, Mr. Johnny Depp himself. So fans basically have more questions about the character, Cinema Blend reported.

Thankfully, the author-turned screenwriter was gracious enough to answer two questions. One of the questions centered on the fact that Grendelwald, who pretended to be Percival Graves, mentioned he had a vision of a child who has great power. He was talking to Credence then, who turned out to be the child with great power, unbeknownst to Grindelwald.

So the question is, is Grindelwald a seer or a liar? Rowling confirmed he is both a seer and a liar in a tweet. It only means that Grindelwald wasn't totally honest about what he saw because he has ulterior and dark motives.  While it's too early to tell exactly how extensive Grindelwald's character will play out in the franchise, it's also clever not to ignore the fact that he's a seer.

If fans can clearly remember, it's Sybill Trelawney's prophecy that played a major part in the HP franchise. Grindelwald being a seer only adds more danger to his already darkly ominous character. It's very interesting how it will play out in the next movies.

Moreover, Rowling also revealed Grendelwald didn't use a polyjuice potion to assume the personality of Percival Graves. He is really that powerful to produce a transfiguration charm that concealed who he really is. Rowling said his transfiguration skills surpass that of any wizard of his time.

Meanwhile, Rowling recently launched her website which holds so many Easter eggs both for HP fans and Fantastic Beasts fans, Mashable reported. Rowling is known to leave breadcrumbs containing clues of her works. So this website is not different.

In fact, there's a debunking page in it that proves to be very challenging to find. It's the page where she debunks myths, theories, and rumors about her creations. To find it, one must scroll down to the homepage and hover over a balled up paper.

Proceed.
