Just as everyone thought Jun Ji Hyun's career would end after her childbirth in February 2016, the actress proved her star power is still above all. Jun Ji Hyun's bankable power is still at the top as the Korean's have chosen her as the only female actress they admire on the top 10 list. Other than that, her earnings have quadrupled as the star of hit new TV show "The Legend of the Blue Sea".

Jun Ji Hyun was the only female actress to belong in the top 10 list of Korean's Best Actors in 2016. In a survey compiled by Gallup Korea, Ji Hyun ranked nine on a list topped by actor Hwang Jung Min. The research was conducted on November 24 to29 this year on 1,700 men and women respondents, KPop Herald reported.

According to the same report, Ji Hyun is held as the pride of Koreans in the largely male-dominant field. And the Hallyu goddess is still on top of her game even after giving birth in February, a phase which critics consider an end to an actress' career. But Ji Hyun is still in demand and she proves it by the papers she stacks on her bank.

Jun Ji Hyun currently stars as the disoriented mermaid in the hit Korean TV show "The Legend of the Blue Sea". For that she earns 100 million KRW or roughly $86 thousand per episode. Her 2014 TV drama "You Who Came from the Star" was reportedly so successful that she got 14 endorsements because of it, Korea Portal reported.

Jo Hyun reportedly made 1 billion KRW or $850,000 for each endorsement. This only means she remains a force to be reckoned with that's why critics must shut their pie holes. Her new show with Lee Min Ho has been slammed several times for plagiarism issues, but it never affected the show's steadily rising ratings.

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is warmly accepted by fans not only in Korea, but all throughout Asia. It's even receiving tons of love since recently, Korean actor Lee Jong Suk treated the entire cast and crew with a coffee truck with a banner of motivational quotes. Not only that, Ji Hyun's co-actor, Cha Tae Hyun, in the all time favourite comedic Korean film "My Sassy Girl" also made a cameo in the show's fourth episode.

Tae Hyun it was a sweet moment to be reunited with his sassy girl co-star again because he doesn't think they will do another movie in the future again, what with Ji Hyun being on the top.
