BIGBANG's new song "FXXK IT" is making the rounds internationally as it was listed on the weekly playlist of American newspaper The New York Times.
According to Allkpop, "FXXK IT" made it to "The Playlist" this week alongside other songs "The Pot is on Fire" by Ibibio Machine, "Castro" by Yo Gotti feat. Kanye, Big Sean and Quavo, "Elogio a Instituição do Cinismo" by Boogarins, "NPR Tiny Desk Concert" by Gucci Mane, "New Song" by Warpaint, and "All on Me" by BJ the Chicago Kid.
"T.O.P, the most domineering and melancholic figure in the outlandishly popular K-pop act Big Bang, is scheduled to begin his compulsory service in the South Korean military soon, making him the first group member to do so," the newspaper wrote.
It continued, "In advance of the split, Big Bang has released three new songs, completing the "MADE" album announced last year. Of the three, "FXXK IT" - written in part by T.O.P. and G-Dragon."
The New York Times described the song as "the best, a slow thumper with strong singing by Daesung, tart rapping by T.O.P., all captured in a characteristically wacky, neon-bright video."
On Dec. 12, BIGBANG made their comeback with the release of "FXXK IT," "GIRLFRIEND" and "Last Dance" ahead T.O.P's enlistment. He will be the first BIGBANG member to serve the mandatory military service in February.
The three new songs from the popular boy group immediately dominated several music charts including iChart, Melon, Mnet and a lot more, Soompi cited.
After 2 days of the release, BIGBANG's "FXXK IT" topped the weekly and real time iCharts and even secured the highest spot in other music charts. On the other hand, "Last Dance" and "GIRLFRIEND" are trailing at the second and third spots, respectively.
