Megan Fox is reportedly circling the role of Poison Ivy for the film "Gotham City Sirens.

According to reports, Fox received interesting Harley Quinn #14, #17 and #18 comic book titles that included Poison Ivy, Bleeding Cool reported. Thus, speculations rose that the upcoming film is reportedly interested to have her on board.

Do note that this development is not yet confirmed and remains as a rumor for now. However, in an interview, Fox actually said that she would love to play Poison Ivy or Red Sonja if given the chance to play a comic book character.

Ofcourse, this could just be a simple case of Fox wanting to read a comic book. Afterall, the actress said that she has been an avid comic book lover for years. However, according to reports the books sent to her address were from Warner Bros.

"Gotham City Sirens" will be spinoff of "Suicide Squad" which starred Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Robbie reportedly got the ball rolling when she enlisted a writer to help develop the project before approaching Warner Bros. to make it a reality, Slash Film reported.

The upcoming film is reportedly on the fast-track with "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer at the helm. The script for the film is penned by "Tomb Raider" writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

"Gotham City Sirens" will be led by an all-female villains that will presumably include Poison Ivy and Catwoman after Ayer posted a photo of the three characters on Twitter.

Should the rumors be true, Fox is a perfect candidate because she is no stranger to big-budget films. It could also serve as a golden opportunity for her to create a memorable performance for a character that was not received very well when it first appeared in the film "Batman & Robin."
