BIGBANG nabs top spot on iTunes with ‘MADE’ album

BIGBANG is globally taking the charts with their comeback album "MADE." The group recently released their much awaited album last Dec. 13.

Following the release of their much awaited album, it rapidly attained an all-kill on domestic charts with its two title tracks "FXXK IT" and "Last Dance." Adding their new song "Girlfriend," the group nabs the top three spots on all prime Korean charts.

Few hours after the release of their album, "MADE" landed 3rd on iTunes' album chart in the United States, while it got the 5th spot in Canada. The album also nabbed the top spots on iTunes globally with nineteen countries, Soompi reported.

The album top the iTunes album charts in Brunei, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Finland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam. iTunes is a media player, library, online radio broadcaster, and mobile device management app developed by Apple Inc. which is used to play, download, and organize digitally downloaded music and videos.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG recently sat down with the news outlet, Newsis, to discuss their latest album "MADE." The group also revealed the reason on why the album was released just this year.

The interview commenced at the YG Entertainment building, and the group's leader, G-Dragon revealed that the album should have been completed last year. "Last year, we thought that the album was lacking in many ways...For us, it's not bad that it took 8 years," Allkpop reported.

The 28-year old rapper also revealed that BIGBANG is perfectionist, hence, an additional year is needed to complete the album. Some of the members also unveiled that they have no sense of time and because they are constantly busy doing tours, they do not have a lot of full-length albums.

 It can be recall that the group's last studio album "Remember" was released back in 2008. On Dec. 18, the group will be making their first comeback performance on SBS' "Inkigayo."
