"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered" has already begun adding six more maps for its multiplayer mode, along with more customization options.

According to Gamespot, "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered" was launched in November with 10 maps, and six more being added to the game today, totaling up to 16 maps. The total number of maps is the same number of maps from the original 2007 game.

The new maps include Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and Wet Work. There's also going to be another map which is a Holiday-themed version of Crash called "Winter Crash." The map will be arrive on Dec. 20 and will get its own 24/7 playlist. This special map was first exclusive to PC, and now this is the first time it becomes playable on the console platform.

On top of that, the update has already added more two new game modes added to the playlist: Gun Game and Hardpoint, as well as two holiday-themed weapon camos available, Gift Wrap and Ugly Sweater skins. Players can actually achieve these by unlocking by completing challenges in the Winter Crash map.

The "Modern Wafare Remastered" multiplayer update also offers new personalization items available through the the Operation Arctic Wolf loot drop, which includes weapon camos, reticles, uniforms, emblems, and calling cards. In addition to that, players have access to new characters, as well as female fighters, in this package. There have been a few female characters in the "Modern Warfare" series, but never playable. This marks the first time in the entire series to make females playable.

"Modern Warfare Remastered" is still available today but only if players chose to purchase special editions of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," at the price of $80 (frequently discounted at times).

Meanwhile, "Modern Warfare Remastered" will also be playable for free starting on December 15, but only a limited portions such as the campaign's first two missions, multiplayer with a level cap of 15, and "Zombies in Spaceland" with a level cap of 3.
