Microsoft marketing head Brian Hall announced on Monday that the company experienced the highest consumer Surface sales in November, partly thanks to disappointed fans of the new MacBook Pro. He said that the company's Best Buy-exclusive Surface bundle immediately got sold out during the first day it was offered and that the demand for their Surface Hub machine exceeds their expectations.

Hall said that people are opting for Surface over Macs now more than ever, Fortune reported. He also said that their trade-in program for MacBooks proved to be one of their best strategies. The innovations for their Surface line have also contributed to the massive success.

He also said that more fans, especially the professionals are disappointed with the new MacBook Pro, which is why more people are switching to Surface, Tech Crunch reported. He said that there are new reviews encouraging people to shift from MacBook to Surface every day. The Microsoft team is very proud of this achievement because it shows that they are doing a good work, he said.

This success is seen to continue as the new Performance Base Surface Book will soon be released in New Zealand and Australia. It will also be rolled out early next year in countries like China, Japan, Hong Kong, Austria, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Apple also announced it notebook refresh along with Microsoft's refreshed Surface Book and all new Surface Studio last week. However, Apple's new Touch Bar MacBook Pro didn't get a warm welcome from consumers during its launch lat October.  But Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller still said that their online store got more orders for its new MacBook Pro compared the rest of their pro notebook.

However, Microsoft didn't divulge any data that shows they really did well with their Surface sales. Without any data it would be difficult to tell how their Surface line really performed last month. Microsoft also has no exact metric to support their claim that Apple's MacBook Pro didn't fair well at all.

Just last month, reports from research group Slice Intelligence claims that MacBook Pro had outsold its competitors. They also announced that MacBook Pro had almost quadrupled the sales of Microsoft;s Surface Book.
