Kobe Bryant gives advice to Carmelo Anthony in dealing with Phil Jackson as he has become the target of criticism from the president of New York Knicks many times this season. Jackson and Anthony have talked and resolved the issue.

Bryant advised Anthony on dealing with Jackson, CBS Sports reported. As player who had been working with Jackson for 11 years and winning 5 championships with Jackson, Bryant knows precisely the exact way to deal with Jackson.

The all-time leading score for Los Angeles Lakers was not strange to Jackson’s criticism. He had also been the target of Jackson’s jabs many times. But Bryant had a way to deal with it.

“Me and Kobe have countless conversations about that," Anthony said. “He’s going to talk, nobody can stop that. Just try not to read into it that much.”

Afterward, Anthony used Kobe’s advice when he talked to Jackson in the Saturday’s practice session before the game against Lakers. According to New York Daily News, they have talked and Anthony made his point and the Knicks president understand that.

Jackson criticized the 6’8” forward for holding the ball too much during the game. He said that Anthony should be able to play similar role of Michael Jordan and Bryant in the triangle offense, but he held the ball longer than he should. Jackson said his criticism during an interview with CBS Sports TV aired on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

In the interview, Jackson also praised Anthony for his ability to adjust to the system and his drive to success. The 71-year old executive also said he firmly believed that Anthony is able to play in the similar role like Bryant and Jordan in the Knicks.
