The Minnesota Timberwolves (6-15) and Toronto Raptors (14-7) square off at the Air Canada Centre on Thursday, Dec. 8 in a 2016-2017 NBA season match.

Minnesota is reeling at the moment, winning only once in their last six matches. They are currently third from the last place in the Western Conference with a 6-15 record.

The Wolves are coming off a 105-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in their home floor of Target Center on Tuesday, as per Fox Sports.

Four starters of head coach Tom Thibodeau's squad scored in double figures and are headed by shooting guard Zach LaVine, who had 25 points, three rebounds, and two assists in a losing effort.

Power forward Gorgui Dieng had 16 points and nine boards while Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins both chipped in 11 points. Towns also had 14 rebounds and four assists.

Off the bench, rookie point guard Kris Dunn chipped in 15 points and two assists while starter Ricky Rubio had a decent all-around game of four points, five boards, and six assists.

Thibodeau was evidently disappointed after the game and acknowledged that his team has a lot to improve to become contenders in the West.

"You have to eliminate all the ways in which you beat yourself first," said Thibodeau. "So we have to understand that, we have to improve in that area."

Meanwhile, the Raptors snapped a six-game winning streak after losing to the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers, 116-112, on Monday night also at the Air Canada Centre, Fansided reported.

DeMar DeRozan spearheaded Toronto's attack with 31 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals while backcourt partner Kyle Lowry had 24 points, three boards, and nine assists.

Two players in the second unit had scored in double figures, namely Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson who had 14 and 12 points respectively.

Prediction

The Wolves are a poor road team with a record of 3-8 so far this season while the Raptors are decent at home with an 8-4 slate. It was a close fight with Cleveland and Toronto is again playing at home so they are favored to win this one.
