Boston Celtics needs another big man in their roster beside Al Horford. They are targeting Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut to strengthen their front court.

Celtics currently has a good back court with Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart. However, they need more solid rebounders and rim protection to help Al Horford. Rebound has been a problem for Celtics, according to CBS Sports.

They are currently holding a 12-9 records after losing 106-107 in a tight game against Houston Rockets on Monday. The Rockets was able to win the game after snatched more rebounds than Celtics.

Based on the game statistics, Houston Rockets distributed the rebounding business on four players, forward Ryan Anderson and Trevor Ariza, center Clint Capela and James Harden. While the Celtics only unevenly distributed the rebounding to Bradley and Al Horford with help from Kelly Ollynik and Jonas Jerebko.

Boston Celtics need another big man to strenghten their rebound. In regard to that, according to CSN New England analysts Chris Mannix, Celtis have set their target on the Mavericks center Bogut.

Bogut is a player with a strong defensive trait. He was the member of Golden State Warriors championship team and has given a solid defense for the Warriors. During his tenure with in the Bay Area with the Warriors, he averaged 8.2 rebounds per game.

He was traded to Mavericks this summer to free-up space for salary cap. His departure allowed the Warriors to sign Kevin Durant.

This season in his new team, Bogut played even a better defense. He leads the team in rebound with average 10.3 per game, higher than his career average of 8.9 rebounds. His presence also gives a strong sense of rim protection for Dallas Mavericks.

After five seasons in the West, it may be a good time for defense oriented player Bogut to return to Eastern conference with Boston Celtics. Watch Chris Mannix analysis for the possibility of Bogut's trade to Boston Celtics.
