There has been a bunch of news relating to the "Star Wars" franchise. First we have the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" releasing within a few weeks, then we hear about Lucasfilm planning for a "Han Solo" spin-off film. Just recently, reports claim that there was a leaked dialogue from the next sequel "Episode 8" between Luke Skywalker and Rey. Warning some SPOILERS ahead!
During the last scene in "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," Rey (Daisy Ridley) travels with Chewbacca to the planet Ahch-To to find the long lost Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). "Episode 8" would solely focus on Rey's development into a full-fledged Jedi and embrace her powers through rigorous training with Skywalker.
Recent reports reveal that a line from the script was brought up, which was meant for Hamill's renowned Jedi character to deliver. The leaked came from YouTube user Mike Zeroh, whom he discussed the sources from which he heard about the cryptic line of Skywalker. There four sources he took, to be exact, two of whom he trusts and the other two -- well, not so much at the moment. It is, as he would claim it, meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Here's supposedly the line from Skywalker:
"You contain the spark that will rekindle the fire."
Once again, it's as ambiguous as ever.
According to Independent, it has been rumored that any form of on-screen announcement for "Episode 8" - whether it be a trailer or teaser - would will arrive sometime around early 2017.
Along with Hamill and Ridley, the film is said to star John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie, as well as newcomers Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro.
"Star Wars Episode 8" will be premiering on Dec. 15, 2017.
