The belief that e-cigarettes are safer than smoking poses some alarming concerns from news reports flooding the internet about exploding vaping devices.

The shocking incident happened in New York City a store within the Grand Central Station. The employees were just talking to each other and did not expect that something bad will happen. Without any warning, the e-vapor cigarette high voltage battery from one of the employees, Brian Almerico exploded.

He claimed that his e-vapor cigarette is pretty good and hasn't blown on him like that and was taken to the hospital for immediate treatment. Flames shoot out from the shocked victim's pocket like firecrackers sending his co-workers in all directions, as reported by THV11

Owner of three Vapor Unlimited stores in Pasco County, Trevor Campbell said, "What they're doing is they're going inside of it, opening up the circuit boards, they're putting new circuit boards in there and they're using the wrong type of wiring and they're using 18650 batteries that don't vent, they explode."

According to C10 News, new regulations regarding e-cigarettes on planes are being introduced. Because of the possible fire hazard, vaping devices along with batteries are permitted only in carry-on luggage and not in checked bags.

Public are made aware that purchased e-cigarettes are manufactured in America since the e-liquids and devices made in the US follow strict production standards to guarantee its safe use. New users should be wary if the button has been held down for a long time as this may cause overheating. The correct charger should be used to prevent short circuit and damage to the vaping device. Lastly, never ever allow charging the battery for such a long period of time.

Even the lack of FDA regulation, American manufacturers still comply with the country's stricter manufacturing guidelines. What happened to Almerico will serve some lessons to e-cigarette users keep in their mind the proper use and care of their vaping devices.
