The "Fable" RPG series has been one of the best that players could experience in a fantasy setting. "Fable" creator Peter Molyneux has also expressed in desiring to come up with a "Fable IV," and has also discussed about the issue with publisher, Microsoft.

Molyneux stated that "It's crazy that Fable IV isn't being made. I would love to do Fable IV, and the studio tried to do it. You'd have to get the original team back together though," according to statement he made with OXM.

Molyneux also mentioned the numerous he and his team had their moments in upsetting Microsoft as part of their typical British sense of humor.

"I think it was the sense of humour," said Molyneux. "You know the British, slightly politically incorrect sense of humour, especially with Fable, where we had prostitutes and same-sex marriage. Microsoft were appalled, you know, they were busily going around trying to rub all the nipples out of all the women just not to offend people.

He also made a side mention of Lionhead's designer Mark Healy having a habit of doing that, putting controversial objects in the game like making the totems in "Black and White" are "completely phallic."

There were many other issues surround Fable developers and the publisher Microsoft, such as the case when they had to fight in putting a black woman in the cover of "Fable III," which unfortunately was unsuccessful.

Molyneux left Lionhead studios in 2012, in which he founded 22 Cans. The studio is now currently working on the latest game released on September 2016 for the mobile devices called "The Trail." With Lionhead shutting down earlier this year, the future of the "Fable" franchise still remains unclear.
