Harry Potter book author JK Rowling said that Fantastic Beasts story will span over 19 years. That means there's plenty of room for the story to expand. But if fans' computation is right, since the story started in 1926, it will then conclude in the year 1945. That's the year when the great battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald happened and led to the defeat of the latter. That's the event where Dumbledore also won the most powerful stick in the whole world, the Elderwand.

The movie will still follow the story of Newt Scamander, a magical zoologist who collects magical creatures. However, the next movie will follow him in another city. Reports say it will be set in Paris, France. Director David Yates confirmed that the next movie will be far more interesting than the first one as Rowling will not be repeating herself.

This only means that the entire Fantastic Beasts franchise will focus on Grindelwald and his rule in Eastern Europe. A prospect of a younger Dumbledore will also be explored. This has been confirmed by Yates himself when he announced they're casting for a younger Dumbledore, Insider reported.

In the Harry Potter books, Grindelwad was very much alive until Voldemort found him in one of the oldest magic prisons in Europe and got killed in the process. Fantastic Beasts will definitely chronicle his exploits, focusing more on his desire to rule over the non-magic folk and his obsession over the Deathly Hallows; a craze that the young Dumbledore happily watered until his sister's untimely death.

Fantastic Beasts debuted in the US at $75 million over the weekend, The Hollywood Reporter reported.  So far, the $180 million budget film has earned a whopping $219,903,387 worldwide and that figure is still growing especially because the first leg of the five movie franchise hasn't even been in the theatres for a whole week.

According t the same report, Newt's past relationship will definitely be explored and not just an anecdote. This means Leta Lestrange who will be played by Zoe Kravitz, will physically appear. In the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", Newt talked about his complicated relationship with Leta. It's interesting how their relationship will be related to the characters in the Harry Potter franchise.

Whether or not the story will take fans back to Hogwarts again remains unknown.
