Casey Bloys, HBO's networking president, nods his head and said a "Game of Thrones" prequel is highly probable. Although the exec said the concept is still on the preliminary stages, fans are given hope especially because there are only 13 episodes left for the remaining two seasons of the mega successful TV series.

According to Bloys, they still have no idea what particular story they're going to explore, Cosmopolitan reported. But this news is enough for fans to celebrate because it only means the lores that got everyone so excited about the franchise will finally get a big break and will be available on the small screens in years to come.

HBO is not known for spinoffs or prequels but the network will definitely not turn down an opportunity as big as GOT, Forbes reported.  "Game of Thrones is such a massive hit and the network will most likely change its tune. According to the same report, Bloys is discussing the idea with George R.R. Martin himself.

The series averages more than 20 million viewers weekly. It's also critically acclaimed with 23 Emmy wins. HBO's subscription also increased their number of subscribers by 40 million since 2011. What would the showrunners possibly explore? Some fans came up with a list.

The show and the book haven't yet explored the full tale of Ser Duncan the tall and his squire named Egg, who turned out to be Daenarys Targaryen's predecessor, King Aegeon V Targaryen. He is Master Aemon's brother but for fans he's popularly known as the father The Mad King.

Another popular backstory, which will probably be given light in the spinoff, is Robert's Rebellion. Much have been told about why Robert sacked the last of the Targaryens but fans will be given a full blowout if this will be explored again. The actions, the failed and successful cunnings that led to the Baratheons victory are events that could make another successful TV series.

Other than that, fans would love to see more of young Rhaegar Targaryen, Cersei's betrothed. Fans would love to see episodes where he abducted the beautiful Stark, Lyanna, and got her pregnant with the show's most beloved protagonist, Jon Snow.

GOT is too big not to be given another shot with fans especially that it concludes in 2018.
