It's been a while since fans have gotten an update for the upcoming sequel to the fighting game "Injustice Gods Among Us". The DC Comics based fighter has shown a lot of promising features, including enhanced graphics and the addition of popular comic book characters not seen in the first game. Recently, Ed Boon posted 2 polls to allow fans to influence the characters appearing in the game. Nether Realm Studios have been known to add characters from other franchises in their fighting games as seen in "Mortal Kombat X".

One of the polls he did is for a best Mortal Kombat character to appear in "Injustice 2". Sub Zero proved to be very popular, taking more than 50 percent of the entire poll. Boon also did another poll on another possible guest not related to the Mortal Kombat franchise. The comic book character Spawn had the most votes while Hellboy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer trailed behind. While everything is still speculation, it is likely that these poll winners will end up appearing in the game. The roster of "Injustice 2" is not yet complete as well, and many speculations are going around on DC characters that will be included in the game.

In a recent response to a fan, Ed Boon referenced Black Adam which means that the character may be returning to the game. He's also been teasing that more characters are coming to the game to help ease the fans as they wait for any new updates. Recent demos and updates of the game have shown a total of 10 characters including the recently added Harley Quinn and Deadshot. There are at least 18 more characters set to appear in the game along with locations to cater to each of the characters.

Injustice 2 looks to follow in the same system as "Mortal Kombat X", which they released a main roster and then add other characters in upcoming patches. The game offers a season pass option to have all the upcoming content available as soon as it is released. The game will also frequently update with buffs, fixes, and nerfs, mainly catering to competitive play.
