While the first outing of the well-loved speedster will be the upcoming "Justice League" film, the 2018 film of "The Flash" will not only be an origin story but will also depict how Barry Allen got the grip with his powers. This is what the film's star Ezra Miller has said when he has spoken with IGN News.
According to IGN, Miller explained that while Barry Allen will learn much from Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in the "Justice League" movie, he is still technically a superhero-in-training to some extent. "I certainly think it will represent the next stage," he explained.
"What I find fascinating is that we're still very much amateur-hour Speedster. I would love for the series to track an evolution of Barry Allen's early times as The Flash."
When Miller was asked about the possibility of seeing a fully-powered Flash sooner in the big screen, he said, "Like, I love this comic 'Kingdom Come' - unbelievable art - and in that The Flash is fully evolved, and you never even see him, right? It's just like a red mist, and there's no crime in [Keystone] City. He protects a whole chunk of the country."
"So that wouldn't make for the most interesting film - you know what I mean? What do we have to learn about that guy? That guy barely exists, right? He's almost one with the Speed Force. So it's interesting to go to the beginning."
The 2018 "The Flash" movie will be the speedster's solo film, which will take place well within the DC Extended Cinematic Universe. But The Flash is expected to be formally introduced to moviegoers in the upcoming "Justice League" film featuring costumed crime-fighting heavyweights --- Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Fans are still ecstatic for "The Flash" film despite the fact that it has recently lost its director upon the departure of filmmaker Rick Famuyiwa, citing creative differences as the primary reason. The directorial seat was already previously vacated by "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" writer Seth Grahame-Smith, also due to creative differences according to Screen Rant.
