After the huge success of his recent drama series “Descendants of the Sun”, South Korean actor Jin Goo will again appear on the TV screens for his latest TV drama series “Illumination”. During the press conference of the show on November 17, the actor spilled some details about his upcoming acting project.
According to the Hallyu star, he did not find playing the role of his new portrayed character Park Gun Woo and Sergeant Seo in “Descendants of the Sun” to be very difficult as they are part of his true self and he can likewise relate to their personalities. When it comes to the difference between Park and Seo, Jin stated that the first looks at people more in the eyes when communicating while the latter is much more of an expert in getting the attention of women.
Joining Jin in his new drama are actors Lee Yo Won, and UEE. “Illumination” will premiere on MBC on November 21.
About the success of “Descendants of the Sun”, the actor commented as quoted by All Kpop: “My previous drama did very well, but it wasn't only because of me. It's because the production, script, and actors all worked well together. I think there'll be good results once again if we trust the director, script, and co-stars."
Meanwhile, Jin has recently welcomed a new member of his family after his wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy on November 4. According to a report by Soompi, the couple found out that they are having a new child in April right after “Descendants of the Sun” has wrapped up.
Jin started his entertainment career in 2003 through the drama “All In”. He later appeared on the 2009 “Mother” wherein he was awarded as the Best Supporting Actor at the Grand Bell Awards and Blue Dragon Film Awards.
