Preview

San Antonio has bounced back from a two-game losing skid by winning three straight games, climbing back to third place in the Western Conference team standings.

The Spurs nipped the Miami Heat, 94-90, at the AT&T Center on Monday night to win their eighth match this season, as per KSAT.com.

Main man Kawhi Leonard led the team with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds plus four assists in another impressive all-around display for head coach Gregg Popovich.

Three other starters scored in double figures with LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, and Tony Parker firing 18, 12, and 11 points each.

Off the bench, backup point guard Patty Mills had 10 points, three boards, and three assists for the Spurs.

San Antonio led 55-40 at the half but allowed Miami to come back in the second half as the Heat pulled off a 50-39 run in the third and fourth periods.

"You have to give them credit," said Parker, who is only in his third game back from injury. "They played great defense in the second half. They played with more energy and they played more physical. We have to find a solution next time."

Meanwhile, the Kings are currently on a two-game losing slide after winning two consecutive games to go back to the bottom half of the West standings.

Sacramento lost a heartbreaking 122-120 overtime match to the Portland Trail Blazers last Friday at the Moda Center, USA Today reported.

DeMarcus Cousins poured in 33 points on 12-for-22 shooting, nine rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks in a losing effort for head coach Dave Joerger. Rudy Gay backed him up with 29 points, 14 boards, three assists, two steals, and one block, but it was still not enough to overcome the Blazers in regulation.

Prediction

The Spurs are undefeated on the road so far this season with a 5-0 record while the Kings are 2-2 at their new home court of Golden 1 Center. A huge win for San Antonio is predicted.
