It's been quite before we actually heard from the "Red Dead" series. Last we heard, "Red Dead Redemption" will be playable in both PS4 and PC, albeit only through Sony's streaming service PlayStation Now. Just recently, reports say that the game could be backwards compatible on the Xbox One and there would possibilities of a remastered game for the current generation consoles.
Gamingbolt reports that the hit Western-themed game that is "Red Dead Redemption" released back in 2010 can be playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility feature. If this is actually a thing, then it won't be long before we could get to play the game in the PlayStation 4 and PC.
Earlier reports did mention of the game being playable in the PlayStation 4 and PC, although that can only happen through Sony's streaming service PlayStation Now. Many fans expressed their disappointed that the game didn't really change much visually on the PS4 and the controls weren't really converted for the PC. To top it all off, in order for players to play "Red Dead Redemption," they need to subscribe to Sony's streaming service.
"Red Dead Redemption" is the second installment of the "Red Dead" series by "GTA's" Rockstar Games. The game was actually a sequel to the original "Red Dead Revolver," which was originally owned by Capcom before being purchased by Rockstar and was released on 2004 on the PS2.
In earlier news, Rockstar recently released a trailer for "Red Dead Redemption 2" and it featured a vast open-world. So far details haven't been revealed on the characters and storyline yet.
