Celtics still hasn’t found the best strategy for them after losing Al Horford due to concussion and three games losing streak. Point guard Isiah Thomas complained about their poor performance, saying they are not as good as they think they are.

Horford was injured last week after he was hit in the head in the Monday practice. A day after he was put into the concussion protocol and missed the 107-100 win against Chicago Bulls on Nov. 4.

Celtics first losing streak began a day after with a 128-122 loss against Cleveland Cavaliers, followed by two blowout losses. They lost 107-123 against Denver Nuggets on Sunday, and being overpowered 118-93 by the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, Nov. 9. According to Boston Herald, Celtics hit their low point in the loss against Washington Wizards.

Thomas expressed his frustration with his team after their second losing game against the Nuggets as reported by SLAM Online. He said that the Celtics is not as good as they thought they are.

“At this point, we’re all talk. That’s all we’re doing,” Thomas said expressing his frustration.

Prior to the start of regular season, Boston Celtics was predicted to rank second in the Eastern Conference. Particularly with the addition of Horford in the front court, expectations run high for the fans. However, with 3-4 record in the beginning of the regular season, head coach Brad Stevens needs to think of something to improve the team’s performance, particularly in their front court.

With the absence of Horford, Celtics front court has lost their touch. The substitute center Kyle Zeller played very poor to either attack the rim or defend the low post. During the game against the Wizards, he only posted 6 points and 2 rebounds.

Thomas pointed out the problem with the Celtics, that they are not the hardest playing team anymore. Watch Isaiah Thomas interview with CLNS Radio on Tuesday, Nov. 8 about his frustration with the team performance below:
