Producer Kim Ji Hyun of the upcoming MBC drama starring EXO member Suho apologizes for taking advantage of EXO fans. Suho is set to star in the upcoming MBC drama "Star In the Universe."

Towards the end of October, around 200 EXO fans gathered to participate in a scene of "Star In the Universe." According to the fans who were at the set, they arrived at 5 p.m and stayed overnight despite the cold weather for filming.

Additionally, fans expressed that the drama staff were unbelievably rude, shouting directions, and treating the young fans harshly. Making matters worse, fans claimed that none of them received payment on the grounds that the producer automatically assumed that their chance of working with an EXO member is an incentive itself, as reported by Allkpop.

Disappointed, fans expressed their experiences through some social networking sites. On Nov. 10, PD Kim responded to the fans complaints with an apology in an Instagram post.

"Hello, this is the director of "Star of the Universe," Kim Ji Hyun. What goes on set is my responsibility, and as such, I would like to sincerely apologize to the fans of Kim Jun Myeon (EXO's Suho), Soompi reported.

PD Kim added that she apologizes for the words and actions of some of her staff towards the fans. She knew that fans came to help, and what happen is her responsibility for not keeping an eye on what was happening.

Revealing that the upcoming drama is about respect for fans, the 44-year old producer further promised to take care whatever moral responsibility is necessary for those fans who participated filming. Stressing that there is no reason for her to continue the drama if the fans were hurt, who were her inspiration for creating the drama.

Further, PD Kim revealed that EXO Suho gave his best for the project and is loved more than anyone on set. Adding that they are trying their best to deliver the drama like a present.

"Star In the Universe" is slated for release in 2017 on MBC.
