After Gary's farewell episode on "Running Man" last Nov. 6, producer of the show hinted for the possible return of the rapper in the show, and it is happening sooner rather than later.
According to Allkpop, Gary is scheduled to make an appearance in the next episode of "Running Man." Last week, the variety show teased about his comeback at the end of the show with this question, "And "Running Man" had a beautiful farewell with Gary.... that's what you thought, right?"
The teaser raised the excitement of "Running Man" fans, specifically Monday Couple fans. And on Nov. 11, Producer Lee Jin Hwan has spoken up to clear things out. "As seen on last week's preview, Gary will be appearing on the November 13 broadcast," he said.
Lee went on, "We did bid him farewell but goodbye isn't forever so we were clingy to the very end. You can think that Gary is the first guest in the first episode of the remaining 5 member-cast without him. He was given a secret mission and I hope you will check it out on the broadcast."
Previously, the producing director of "Running Man" revealed their filming of Gary's final episode in the program was dismal. Jung Cheol Min even said everyone on the set was teary-eyed during the filming, Soompi noted.
"Gary tried not to cry in front of everyone. He even said he would read the letters that were written to him by himself so he could cry in private," Jung said in an interview.
The producing director added Gary's onscreen partner, Song Ji Hyo, was among the most affected about her partner's departure from "Running Man." Jung said, "Song Ji Hyo was upset that Gary was leaving ever since she heard the news, and the other members were sad, as well."
