"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor Hong Jong Hyun discussed dating rumor with After School main dancer Nana. Hong also reveals feeling of not having any love interest in his recent hit drama.
On Nov. 7, during an interview with OSEN, Hong was asked about his relationship with Nana. The actor promptly responded, "We talk sometimes and get along," as reported by Allkpop.
The model-turned-actor was also asked about his future dating plans, which he revealed that he don't have any plans yet. Stressing that love comes when you least expect it.
When asked about his role in the latest hit drama "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," where he plays as Prince Yo and had no love interest, the 26-year old actor reveals he actually did wish to have a love interest as he was imaging how his character would play out. However, when the story of fighting to become an emperor came about, thoughts on having a love interest was dismissed.
We can recall that previously, Hong and Nana were suspected to be dating each other back in 2015. However, the two dismissed the rumor by releasing a statement that they were just good friends.
"It is true that Hong and Nana are close, but they are not in a relationship," Soompi quoted a representative of Nana as saying. Hong's management agency, Widmay, also released a statement saying Hong and Nana are simply close oppa (older brother) and dongsaeng (younger sister), suggesting that they are not into romantic relationship.
Both Hong and Nana have been friends for a while since both of them were originally models and share the same things in common. But, being in a relationship is not true, the agency added. Hong's agency even asked to stop publishing speculative articles about them.
