Hollywood star Jack Black to feature in Korean series ‘Infinite Challenge’

Hollywood actor Jack Black is set to appear on the long-running Korean television entertainment program "Infinite Challenge." He will start filming for the reality variety show during his Asia tour for the promotion of his highly anticipated animated movie "Kung Fu Panda 3."

The big news was reported by OSEN. The online portal confirms that the 46-year-old American actor will be guest appearing in the MBC entertainment show when he will be visiting South Korea on Jan. 20. On Jan. 22, he will film the episode.

After filming the "Infinite Challenge," Jack Black will continue his "Kung Fu Panda 3" promotion tour. He will head to China.

"Infinite Challenge" is said to be Korea's first Real-Variety show and it is hugely popular among the fans. The show was first aired in April 2005 and completed 500 episodes in October 2015. Participants are presented with some absurd challenges which are not so easy to accomplish. Thus, the show explore the comedic aspect of the contest.

Black is not the only international star to appear on the fan-favourite show. Sports stars such as Theirry Henry, Maria Sharapova, Michelle Wie and Fedor Emelianenko, and television personalities like Paris Hilton, Ryan Seacrest and Daisy Donovan have also appeared on the show in the past.

Black is a well-known comedian and producer in the west. He is noted for his work in "Kung Fu Panda" films as well as movies like "High Fidelity," "Shallow Hal," "School of Rock" and more.

In "Kung Fu Panda 3," Black is reprising the role of the voiceover actor for the leading character Po. In the third instalment of the movie, Po reunites with his biological father and starts a journey with him to a secret sanctuary of pandas. Here, he meets Mei Mei, a panda whose marriage was fixed with Po when they were children. At the same time, a dark force starts to terrorize China and other Kung Fu masters. Po must do everything to protect them.

Also starring Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, James Hong, Dustin Hoffman, and "Kung Fu Panda 3" will hit the theatres on Jan. 29.

In related news, Black and Hudson, who plays the role of Mei Mei attended the Shanghai premiere of "Kung Fu Panda 3" on Jan. 18, Monday, Daily Mail noted. The duo did some Kung Fu moves while posing for photos together.
