There have been a lot of news coming out about the upcoming Ridley Scott sci-fi horror "Alien: Covenant," and actor Michael Fassbender has been "spilling the beans" about it. Now we hear more about his role as the synthetic David ... and someone else. For a little bit of warning here, there may be a bit of SPOILERS even if this news report won't mention the entire plot of the movie.
As reported on an article by AvP Galaxy, Fassbender told The Irish Times that he has two roles in the film, and both of them happen to be synthetic humanoids: Walter and David. The actor further adds: "I think what's great about it is that [director] Ridley [Scott] has gone back to the original DNA of Alien, the horror element of that."
"But is also has the scope and the scale of Prometheus," continued the actor. "Ridley has cut it already. He is a machine. He is an incredible human being, and he was in such good form. He is such an imaginative and mischievous figure."
The article also adds that both characters of Fassbender have somewhat of contentious relationship. Walter is considered a later model of the humanoid synthetic and will somehow not be in good terms with David, an older model in the film's universe.
Just last week, we also able to discuss in an earlier article that Fassbender dropped the bomb on the new alien species called the Neomorph. This may be something more dangerous and scary than previous Alien versions.
"Alien: Covenant" will be given "pretty hard R" rating and is set for release on Aug. 4.
