Back then in June, during the E3 event, fans were excited for the next "God of War" title as it showed a different feel to the game - gameplay, setting, and character-wise. Although that has only been the only news so far about the game, fans will still not be expecting any more details at the upcoming PlayStation Experience (PSX) event later this year.
According to the game's director Cory Barlog in his Twitter page, he mentioned that he "won't be showing anything of the game at PSX," expressing that he would want to just "hang out with PlayStation fans [at the event] and play games."
He also mentioned in another tweet that the game will be worth the wait, mentioning that the team "will be showing something really awesome when it is ready."
The PSX 2016 will be taking place on Dec. 3 and 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Sony, however, has still kept the details on the lineup of games or announcements that will be unveiled in the event, according to Gamespots.
After the "God of War" announcement back in E3 2016 in June, Barlog mentioned that the game was influenced by a canceled Star Wars TV show and promises to offer a "more diverse emotional palette." The studio also went and reinvented the Spartcan "demigod" and also put him in a Norse mythological setting.
The game will also be set years after the third game and will not feature an open-world game, in spite of the director mentioning earlier that it will be. Kratos' former voice actor T.C. Carson, won't be coming back. Instead, he'll be replaced by "Stargate SG-1" actor Christopher Judge for the latest title.
