Last week was a not-so-pleasant meet with Negan after killing some of the beloved characters in "The Walking Dead". This week, Carol and Morgan will encounter the Kingdom's horse-riding people clad in armors and their King Ezequiel and his pet Shiva.
The last season ended with Carol being hurt and is suffering from injuries that may cause her life while affecting her mental status. Due to sustained injuries, she's getting hallucinations of seeing zombies as regular people getting slaughtered. Her weakness convinced her to seek protection and help and agreed to go with Morgan and the people from 'The Kingdom'.
When she regained consciousness, she's already in the Kingdom, a community with necessary amenities such as elaborate agricultural system, school, and horses. Morgan presented Carol to King Ezequiel who serves as the leader of the group. He sits on a chair he called throne in a depleted auditorium with a bodyguard armed with an axe and ready to defend him anytime. But nothing could withstand the vicious animal that always stands by his side, the CGI tiger called Shiva.
Polygon noted that in this episode, Ezekiel will ask Morgan to teach a young boy in the kingdom named Benjamin and to train him since Benjamin no longer has a father. His father used to be a member of the scouting team but killed in the process of clearing a building on one of their outings. The incident made Ezekiel wary of and became more careful not to risk any more lives of his people.
Negan and his group went to the Kingdom asking for dome meat. Ezekiel provided them some pigs that feasted on some of the walking dead. The king is more than willing to share goods as long as it makes his kingdom from the creepy zombies.
Also in this episode, Ezekiel along with Shiva will visit Carol and have breakfast with her. This time Carol felt that she has found a new home inside the kingdom with graves outside.
The Walking Dead will be back on TV screens on AMC every Sunday night.
