South Korean label JYP Entertainment announced on October 24 that its talent Youngjae of the popular boy group Got7 will be taking a week-long break to take some rest.

According to the talent management agency, Youngjae was advised by his physician to take a long break to restore his full health. Although his illness was not mentioned by the label, the KPop idol will not be able to attend at any of his weekly itineraries.

“Due to health reasons, GOT7's Youngjae will not be able to attend any of the schedules for this week. After close examination, the doctor diagnosed plenty of rest, so he will be focusing on resting so he can recover to full health at top priority,” JYP Entertainment stated as quoted by All Kpop.

“If there are more changes to the schedule, we will let you know through another announcement. We want to apologize once more for worrying you, and ask fans for their understanding. We will do our best so he can come back healthy. Thank you,” the label added

Meanwhile, Youngjae has recently released his new single titled “Trauma” to mark GOT7’s 1000th day in the entertainment industry. The piano-based ballad was released on his Sound Cloud account under the pseudonym Ars.

“Trauma” showcased the star’s clean and soulful voice with the beautiful piano tune at the background. It was written by Joo Chan Yang and composed by Joo Chang Yang, Command Freaks, and Secret Weapon, Soompi reports.

Youngjae started his entertainment career in 2014 after joining GOT7. He is one of the band's main vocalists.
