Tesla pulled the plug on its entry-level Model X 60D crossover, three months after introducing it in the market. Therefore, the entry Model X line now starts at $11,000 higher with the 75D.

The automaker seems to have dropped the unit because Tesla wants to stick with its superstar sellers. It is safe to assume that the company is not exactly happy with the sales of 60D, Slash Gear reported. This allows the company to allocate its limited production capacity to its bestsellers. Do note that the company has not made any official statement regarding the unit.

In mid-July, the entry-level 60D with the asking price of $74,000. This means that 75D is now the new entry-level Model X which starts at $86,700. Both figures include the standard $1,200 destination package of Tesla.

Aside from the 75D, 90D and P100D are also available in the Model X line. The 90D sells for $96,700 while the P100D is being sold at $136,000, Motor Authority reported.

The P100D is also available on the Model S sedan which makes it the quickest accelerating SUV ever produced with a massive 100-kilowatt-hour battery. The car is quoted to have 0-60 mph (0-97 kph) acceleration in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed is at 155 mph (250kph).

In other news, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company and Solar City will unveil a new solar roof on October 28, 2016 in an event in San Franciso Bay area. The solar roof will reportedly sport a Powerall 2.0 battery and a Tesla charger.
