During a discussion at the "Stranger Things" panel at the New York Comic Con (NYCC), actor David Harbour (who played the badass police chief Jim Hopper in the series) had addressed the internet's rage over Barbara Holland's (Shannon Purser) inevitable death.

According to IGN, it would be possible that Barbara Holland (or just Barb) would make an appearance in the upcoming second season of "Stranger Things," but not as we expected.

She was an integral character in the first few episodes of the first season of the series, being a best friend to Nancy Wheeler (played Natalia Dyer) and trying to help her realize some important things a best friend could ever do. And then she was killed off by the creature from the Upside-Down. It was tragic that while another victim was involved in the whole case, the show seemed to focus more on Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), based on the laments of the internet.

Season 2 will probably "make sure there's some justice for Barb", as the show's co-creator Matt Duffer previously mentioned. Even actor David Harbour backed it up by hinting about it in the NYCC panel.

Based on reports from Polygon, the actor mentioned that the show would have to "deal with the loose ends in season 2. And we do deal with some of the internet rage over Barbs' death."

There are still a number of fans who would like to believe that Barb may have survived in the dark alternate dimension of the Upside-Down. But, Harbour, along with a statement previously stated by the creators, said that Barbara's death is pretty solid and will not coming back in the next season.
