Bethesda Softworks has been on a roll in reworking old games into their new versions such as "Wolfenstein," and "Doom." Now, with their upcoming reboot of the "Prey" franchise, we see new features never before seen in the previous game: Giving your main character gender options.

In the previous trailer shown earlier in August, we see the main character as a male named Morgan Yu in a futuristic setting, showcasing scenes mostly taking place in a space station. The trailer also did show the station being in disarray as extraterrestrial shadowy monsters took over the station and killing its human occupants. In additional to that, prevailing theme of the trailer showed the protagonist being watched by an ominous being from the void of space.

This new trailer named "Another Yu," according to Gaming Bolt, shows exactly the same thing, albeit in a female voice, which hints that the rebooted "Prey" can give players an option to customize their character Morgan Yu with having the female gender as an option, hence the gender-neutral name. It was also stated that the game will have numerous customizations in the gameplay as well.

The 2017 reboot of "Prey" is developed by Arkane Studios, who also developed the stealth action game "Dishonored." Being a reboot, the game has no relevance to the previous 2006 game of the same name.

While the game isn't purely action or horror themed, Gamespot reports director Raphael Colantonio describes it as a "hybrid game where there's narrative mixed with action mixed with a little bit of [an] RPG layer."

Previously, there used to be a direct sequel of the 2006 game, but it was canceled in 2014 as confirmed by Bethesda. It was only early this year that a reboot was announced at E3.

The new "Prey" game is due for a release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2017.
