Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone may pair opposite to debutant actor Harshvardhan Kapoor in Sriram Raghavan's next project.
As per media reports, "Badlaapur" fame director Raghavan is keen to sign Padukone and Kapoor for an untitled thriller and has approached both for lead roles in the movie, Indian Express reported. Kapoor, who is making his Bollywood debut with Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's "Mirza," has already bagged Vikramaditya Motwani-directed "Bhavesh Joshi" before the release of his first Bollywood movie.
The 25-year-old son of veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and brother of actress Sonam Kapoor has said he would love to work with Raghavan. "I love Sriram's films. When I heard the idea, I literally jumped at it. It's incredible. It's yet another thriller from him," he said.
However, there is no official confirmation on whether Padukone finalized for female lead. A source was quoted by DNA India as saying that Raghavan has not finalized any actress opposite Kapoor. "These are mere speculations. There's time for the film to happen. Harsh will finish Bhavesh Joshi first. So this film won't begin anytime soon. He has not cast any heroine opposite Harsh yet. And it's definitely not Deepika," the source said.
The 29-year-old Padukone, one of the top 10 highest paid actresses in the world, is currently busy shooting for her Hollywood debut "XxX: Return of Xander Cage" opposite Vin Diesel. She also bagged Sanjay Leela Bhansali' historic romance drama "Padmavati" opposite her rumored boyfriend Ranveer Singh. The "Bajirao Mastani" actress is also in talks with Tamil director Sunder C for another historic drama "Sanghamitra."
