Rob Schneider is happy that his daughter can finally see the next movie that he stars in. The animated movie is called "Norm of the North."

Schneider refers to his 3-year old daughter who does not quite understand what he does for a living, which did not pose any problem for a while. "But I decided, here's one for you, honey," Schneider told the Sun Times.

In the film, the actor lends his voice to the title character Norm, who is a gregarious bear with the ability to talk to humans. The character makes a trip to New York to prevent a real estate mogul from developing the Arctic North Pole region, which is Norm's homeland.

While he has done some voice over work in the past, this is the part-Filipino actor's first starring role in an animation.  Schneider admitted that much of his film work were not exactly child-friendly.

While his daughter Miranda, stars in the actor's comedy series "Real Rob" on Netflix, she still does not understand the film industry since the show is completely intended for adults, Schneider told the publication.

Schneider continued to explain that he was interested in doing the animation because the movie delivered an environmental message. He believes that he is an environmentalist rooting for polar bears to survive.

Compared to the typical process in animated films, Schneider was not asked to record his lines in a sound booth alone. This process has been known to be a challenge to many actors being deprived of acting with a co-star.

Instead, the actor revealed that he recorded alongside his co-star Heather Graham, who plays Vera in the movie. The film also stars a supporting cast including Ken Jeong, Gabriel Iglesias and Loretta Devine.

The film is produced by Splash Entertainment and Liosngate and was released in January 2016.

Schneider is known for memorable performances in comedy films and television over the years. He started his career doing stand-up comedy and is also known to make an estimated 50 impressions of famous movie stars.

The actor explained that when he does stand-up, he tries to challenge the audience with a reaction. In a movie, however, he just wants people to sit back, relax and share something with their children, Schneider told Guide Live
