The "Harry Potter" author has been silent for a long time about her wild teenage years. But this time, she unveils her teenage acts smoking, snogging and camping at festivals with his Dutch boyfriend.
It was reported that the 51-year old author revealed how much she adored her "Muso" boyfriend back then and would hang out with him smoking in his parents' attic, snogging and even camping out on rock festivals. Adding that she used to listen to some punk music and play the guitar alone.
"We pitched the two-person tent by a marquee full of Rastas and saw The Cure, whom my then boyfriend was weirdly keen to hear, in spite of the fact that they'd actually been on Top of the Pops," Daily Mail quoted Rowling as saying in an interview with "Ruth and Martin's Album Club." The camping happened during Rowling's 18th birthday at the annual Elephant Fayre music festival at Port Eliot, Cornwall.
Her boyfriend back then even tried to steer Rowling into a more adventurous tastes like the Violent Femmes. However, Rowling has her own liking for alternative music and managed to successfully resist the influence of her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter fans went crazy when Rowling re-tweeted a comedy account that shared Harambe as "Patronus." However, Rowling tweeted to clear things up that Harambe is not a "Patronus" which you can actually get at Pottermore, Time Magazine reported.
Just recently, the "Patronus" experience was launched on the all-things-Potter Pottermore site, in which Muggles can discover the corporeal animal form that their spirit shields would take if they can perform the advanced level magic of the "Patronus Charm.
The results are divers and specific since all kinds of creatures have been produced, from tortoiseshell cats to even mythical fire-dwelling salamanders. However, there is one animal that is not definitely going to appear and that is Harambe, the deceased mountain gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Rowling is a British novelist and film producer best known as the author of the "Harry Potter" fantasy series. This fall, Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" is set for initial release at Germany on Nov. 17.
